I have both of these but have gotten confused with which is which.

Can anyone help me out with the difference in pattern between these?

Thanks in advance.

I’m not a Zoa guy but I found this thread with Stratocaster pics and this thread with llama snacks. It looks like llama snacks have more of a thicker darker center. @footgal thoughts?

Hey y’all! Nobody really tags me anymore, nice to know people still remember me :)

there are a couple different Stratocaster zoas (ReefLounge, NYRA, Zoanthids.com, etc) so it’s hard to pinpoint a real difference. The idea of the Stratocaster has been morphed and reassigned so many times. Here are some examples of “Stratocaster” from the above three sites to demonstrate the differences

so IMO, the one in the sale post that you linked most closely resembles the NYRA one (based mostly on pattern since color varies greatly due to lighting/camera/editing).

In my opinion, all of these aren’t really strats. “OG Stratocaster” have a yellow and black swirl pattern on them and are very distinctive. Here’s a photo

Llama snacks are much much harder to get ahold of and are not currently being sold by any of the big boy retailers (that I can find anyway). They seem to be mostly hobbyist to hobbyist sold on sites like R2R and other public forums. Here’s a photo from Mateusz (R2R) of what I consider to be a real llama snacks

Very thick black ring, black and green stripes on the outside, yellow inside with a thin purple ring around a blue mouth. Kind of similar to the reeflounge strats photo but in person the difference is pretty dramatic.

hope this helps!! :)
