I'm setting up a 150 tall reef after about a 30 year hiatus from the hobby. I'm leaning twords a DSB so I can keep some burrowing gobies/fish. After about 3 days of research here and Google I don't really know anymore now than when I started. My question is would the Tampa Bay live sand work for a DSB? I realize grain size is important and didn't know if the live sand was too coarse. Also is there a substrate that actually helps buffer ph. That seems to be another topic that really has no conclusive answer.
