So I just purchased some live rock from my LFS, and i bought half cured rock and a few pounds of "non cured rock". The none cured rock seems to have life in it some algae and snails. My question is would it be ok to put both types or rock in my tank together right away? And not worry about an ammonia spike? I'm also using live sand. Setting up as I make this post. Thanks!

Welcome to R2R! I think you have a chance of a cycle either way. However, others with more experience in adding live rock will drop by soon!

ID on this snail/slug? I may as well turn this into a build thread, this is my first saltwater setup so I'm a novice with freshwater knowledge. 32 fluval flex

"Half cured" sounds suspicious to me. I think you're looking at a full cycle either way so you may as well do it all together....and ride it out until the cycle is complete. It's frustrating to have to wait when you're excited about a new tank but you need to be patient.

Im not sure what you or your lfs means by half cured and uncured.
If you have life on the rock it is live rock.
If it is dry and has never been in water for a million years it prob will have no organics and does not need to be cured of dead stuff
If it has dead vegetation on it then it needs to be cured.
You can mix the first two types with no issues
The last type will give you an ammonia spike once it gets back into some water
How big depends on how much of it vs the other rock and how much dead stuff it has on it

The rock in the picture i posted he said wasn't cured, it has life on it. I'll have to get pictures of the the other rock that he said was cured it has more purple in it. And thanks to everyone that replied. I got 2 different kinds of rock pulled out of 2 different tanks.

Up late with a lot of questions lol. Should I worry about the sand dust messing with the biological life in the rocks??

No. it wont hurt anything that is in there. It is really just an eyesore for you. I use dry sand for all my builds and rinse it really well before adding to the system.

I just added water to this tank today, you can see that it has a slight haze, but if I didn't rinse the sand it would be a milky tank right now.
