She stepped off the step wrong and broke her ankle in 3 places. She's in surgery right now.
Dang, that's tough! Are they doing pins/screws?
Reminds me back in high school playing basketball. I had to tape up my ankles every time I played. Once I got a bad roll on an ankle it was hard to recover while you're in season.

She's in recovery. They said it was successful. They prepared for extra damage and didn't need it so that was good.
