Light Recommendations

Hello,
I have been researching to find a new tank and really like the design of the Waterbox INFINIA series.
Either the INFINIA Frag 125.4 or INFINIA Reef 150.4 would love to know what lights y'all recommend on the tank.

INFINIA Frag 125.4- DIMENSIONS: (LxWxH): 1223 x 643 x 410mm (48.2" x 25.3" x 16.1")
INFINIA Reef 150.4- DIMENSIONS: (LxWxH): 1,223 x 643 x 550mm (48.2" x 25.3" x 21.7")

Both tanks are same LxW just the Reef is taller. Can't decide on which to get which is why i was hoping to get recommendations for both.
It's been awhile since I researched lights and would appreciate any help. I currently only have a Biocube 29 gal- with an AI Prime light.
Also open to any other recommendations on equipment and what not.

What corals do you plan on adding?

6 bulb T5 if you are looking that route - change the bulbs every 2 years.

If you want LED, the 48 inch Photon V2 would be what I used if somebody forced me to use LEDs. I am mostly into acropora and the best acropora tanks that I have seen use these lights. Nearly any LED can handle a mixed reef if you get enough of them.

Both of these suggestions could handle a wide variety of coral. If you want to specialize with some high-light or trick corals, then please let us know and we can offer advice to adapt.

Thank you for these suggestions. I'll look into both of these. Yeah im planning on doing a mix reef mainly euphyllias.

reefi-lab.com Reefi uno 2.0 LED light. Amazing light for the money. IMO better than Radion, Kessil, Orphek etc.

My 80g, 48x24x16. With my 1.5" rack system the surface to rack is only 12.5".
So something to keep in mind.

I have experience with T5, led bars, halides, AI 16hds, radion gen 5 blue, NP K7 V3. They all grow corals well if you know how to maintain a reef.
I run 4 gen 5 blues on my acro dominant 80 with a Quanta blue bar.
7 16hds on 2 other systsms.
1 NP K7V3 on another.
Either tank you could start with 2 K7 V3's with mounts for around $440. You can always add another down the road.
They are copys of the gen 4 radions and grow coral well for the money.

Are you keeping the biocube up an running? If not, you could use the prime, get one more, and do a combo with two ai blades. If you want to save money, two noopsyche k7 pro 3's would work, same goes for 2-3 reef brite lumilite pros.

well at $869.00 for 185 watts, I'll tell you that your light is Underpowered and Overpriced. My lights put out 270 watts peak and cost $480. Due to sheer Intensity, Reefi Lab uno 2.0 flat outperforms every other light on the market. I run 4 on a 96x24x31 tank with 27 inches of water depth, 90-degree reflectors using 123watts power at peak, I am getting 105par on my sandline according to my Par-wise meter.

There are so many options. IMO I would start with a budget in mind then start researching. Asking for recomdations ussualy doesn't help a lot except to narrow the search a little as you'll get so many different suggestions. Me for instance, I run Noopsyche K7 v3, reefbreeders photon v2, Ai hydra, radions and T5. My favorite is my photon with a 4 bulb T5 hybrid.
I would choose a light that grows SPS. If you decide you want to try SPS or even a clam in the future you can. If not you just run the lights at lower settings.

There is more to a light than intensity.
