Looks like a Bernardpora. They are often called Micro-GonisI have never seen another goniopora like this one, anyone know what it is?
Nice SPS! Which one are you showing - the middle acros with yellow and green? Those are my favorite.
Monsters!I can’t pick just one so I’ll put up my 3 largest Gonis
I think they’re pretty neat. But no room in the inn at the momentIs hydnophora rare or boring? I hardly ever see it in anyone's tank.
No, those are not Bernardpora. All of what we call Bernardpora in the hobby are incorrectly identified as such, which can be traced back to Jake Adam's misIDing "Micro Gonis" as Bernardpora. True Bernardpora look like this:Looks like a Bernardpora. They are often called Micro-Gonis
Here is it in my tank:I have (what I think is) an Astraeosmilia tumida from Fiji in my tank. I'll take photos when I get home.
You don't hear those talked about often! Is hydnophora rare or boring? I hardly ever see it in anyone's tank.
Got it! Thank you for the clarification. What is a "Micro Goni" if not a bernardopora? No, those are not Bernardpora. some other Goniopora species. I have seen them IDed as G. minor, but comparing their skeleton (from CotW) with the skeleton of a piece that died in my tank, that is not it. I remember Joe Rowlett identified a similar phenotype as G. cf gracilis.Got it! Thank you for the clarification. What is a "Micro Goni" if not a bernardopora?
