Hello everyone! My Kole tang seems to have bit something and damaged its mouth. He is swimming around fine but is mouth is fully open. I just bought a few medications and vitamins but wanted everyone’s opinions on mixing this with the food I have and putting it in my reef tank with coral and anemones.

Medication:
Neoplex
Seachem focus
Brightwell vitamin c
Brightwell vitamarin m

Food I have on hand:
Frozen mysis
Frozen blood worms
Algemax pellets
Marine fish pelets
Shrimp wafers

Thoughts on the best combination?
Should I mix it all?

Just to clarify, I’m trying to prevent an infection as well as help him stay healthy

Can you post a video?

Kole are prone to mouth injury issues, but I want to rule out “open mouth breathing” caused by something else.

Was the kole recently moved in a net or anything?

Nothing has been moved or changed in the tank recently

It does look like a mouth injury. I don't see any signs of infection, but that can still be possible. Time is what will be the determining factor here - if the fish heals fast enough or not.

Medicated food is tricky, you cannot just mix medication in the food without calculating the dose, Here is a post about that:
