Guys,

Is this how it happened to you?

Yesterday I tested kh at 7 which is nsw level here in Portugal and I’ve kept it low so while I’ve been doing a load of water changes I’m not upsetting anything,
Anyway, 24 hours later I tested at 6.1

I’ve kinda expected this since I have a boat load of sps and lps , just curious if this is what you experienced when your corals took off?

0.9 DKH daily consumption sounds reasonable. What's the plan to maintain it at your chosen level?

I think it was about 0.5 until this happened, I’ve added 2ml to my dosing (triton core7 be)
It was 4ml , I’m hoping on Monday it’ll be at 7 cos I’m back on a few water changes

Depending on how you are measuring DKH, the tests can give wobbly results, just something to bare in mind.

And why were you a "load of water changes", what are you trying to fix?
I had no pe on my acros and figured the only thing it could have been was something in the water because after each 30% change I got a bit of pe, the things that were high on the icp were barium and silicates but there was 0 trace ( probably the carbon sapped it up)

Seems though you are good, as long as the doser is working correctly (my number 1 cause of apparent jumps in consumption is under delivery).
All 8 doser tubes check Wednesday and again today , had a bit of air in calcium which I drained out
Everything else looks good to go

Could be lack of a trace element certainly, or a boost to alk, or toxin removal.

I think barium is unlikely a problem unless super high, and silicate is not impacting corals.

Too many changes at once to know boss, not only I’m hammering the water changes but I’m still raising orp (350 and rising slow) and I’ve balanced my ph by reverse lighting my caluerpa

Barium was 110 with an upper limit of 20

Was 7 yesterday now 6.3 despite adding a ml to the triton

Can’t keep up with the demand , on 10ml now and raising a ml a day!

Also, my po4 is high at .25 and everything is happy and growing
