Hey everyone, Looking for some help with schedule for Reef Brite xho actinics added to Kessil AP9x.

I just mounted my 2 Kessil AP9x in Reef Brite xho dual fixture. I’m starting the RB dimmed down to 25%. I turned it on 100% and took some par readings, it pumps out some par so turned it down. The Kessils run a schedule from 8am to 8pm. They peak at 50% intensity for 4 hours.

The purpose for the RB is to give the corals the benefit of actinic and me the coral color pop.

I’m looking for RB schedules. Years ago, when I ran MH/T5 actinics, I ran them a little before, during and after the MH schedule.

Let me know what you’ve been doing! Thanks!

I have four a360x lights on a Reefbrite xho fixture. I only run the Reefbrite at peak intensity hours. It is at 100% during that time. The Kessil’s ramp up till the Reefbrite is on, then go down to 30% on full white. After the Reefbrite fixture turns off, the Kessils ramp back up then slowly down again.

Basically my graph for the Kessils looks like an “ M “.

12 hour total, 6 hour peak.

My tank is 90 gallon, so 24” deep. The lights are about 11” above the water line. Attached is a pic of readings with Kessils only. With the Reef Brites on 100%, it added about 30 par to the bottom of the tank. I’m going to take additional readings tomorrow.
