Wondering how ESV B-Ionic affects PH levels in comparison to kalkwasser. Using fairly arbitrary numbers- an 85 gallon system needs a tick less than 40 ml’s of ESV for a 1 dkh maintenance, or needs abour 2800 ml’s of fully saturated limewater. Having an understanding that all tanks are different, if baseline PH in a system was 8.0, how much of a PH difference would one “potentially” look at between these 2 additives?

Per unit of alkalinity added, hydroxide (as in kalkwasser or a very high pH two part) provides about twice the pH boost as carbonate (as in many two parts, including normal B-Ionic from ESV).

Perfect, that’s what I thought/ needed to confirm. Thanks.
