I'm using kalkwasser via ato.
Since last night, it was unplugged.

I plugged it in earlier without checking the ato, so it sucked water to the tank.

Then I saw ato was laying on the floor with sediments!

What will happen to my tank? What to do?

can you describe it a little better?
Last night, I unplugged my kamoer to let the undissolved kalkwasser settle at the bottom of my container.

I plugged in my kamoer earlier this morning without checking my container, so yeah it sucked water to my tank.

After that, I checked my container and the kamoer was laying on the floor with the undisolved kalkwasser.

What I mean is I accidentally dose my tank with kalkwasser slurry.

Do you have a ph monitor? Test alkalinity right now, is the tank cloudy?

Water not cloudy.

API Ph - 7.8 - 8.0
Salifert Alk - 4.7dKH

I used seachem kalk with lower dose, 7g of kalk to 10liters of water.
Hm if the tank isnt cloudy and everything looks ok I think you got lucky. Hopefully you’re able to reset it up without whatever risk happened. Goodluck!

4.7 dkh was the tank after the "overdose"?
It's still the same even before I mixed kalk with my ATO and after I ato-ed Kalk Slurry. It's my issue so I try to raise it via kalk. Now I panicked because Kalk Slurry went to my tank.
An alkalinity of 4.7 should probably be impossible in this situation
What do you mean for impossible? Thanks!
Look at post history they know
What do you mean sir? Thanks!

Will there be any long term negativr effect of that kalk slurry that went to my tank? Or will it just evaporate or be gone when I WC?

Im referring to the question about your kh kit reading so low, looks like randy responded that its likely an error in your other thread. If your alkalinity hasn’t changed from before and after the overdose though I'm guessing it didn't actually overdose. Kalkwasser raises alkalinity and calcium. It also raises ph which is the main concern if it overdosed, but you would see precipitation (cloudy water) and or an alkalinity jump.

If you overdose kalkwasser, your alkalinity will rise. It would be uncommon for a tank to have an alkalinity of 4.7 DKH (which as I understand was your alkalinity before the event?) In any case, it seems like less Kalk got into your tank than you may have thought - OR - you need a new test kit.
