Kalkwasser dosing location?

Running out of space in my return section so looking for other possible locations to drip my kalkwasser/lime water. I was wondering if I could put a tee fitting in one of my drains for my remote/display refugium and drip kalk straight into it? From there it would flow down the drain into the first chamber of my sump. In that compartment of the sump the split drain dumps along with the secondary and emergency. I’m planning on growing chaeto also in this first chamber. Wasn’t sure if this would have any ill effects on the chaeto or any other issues?

Wouldn’t drain area into the sump be a turbulent/high flow area?

Trapped in a pipe may lead to excessive deposits in that pipe.

@Randy Holmes-Farley where would you suggest? As you can see return chamber is jammed pack. Skimmer section has room. Really no good areas to mount stirrer around both the last 2 chambers but could figure it out. (I know you suggest dosing from ATO reservoirs)

Would dosing into refugium either the 20L remote refugium or say into sump first chamber with chaeto have any ill effects on the macro’s? I know many variables etc. as kalkwasser/lime water is super high in PH and assuming if came in direct contact with any of the macro’s it would not be good.

The 20L remote refugium does have 2 gravity drains for redundancy and is easily removed so could also clean frequently if needed. Say every water change or whenever needed.

Yes! I could drill a hole in the acrylic and drop a tube in right next to the main/primary drain.

Here’s what I came up with @Randy Holmes-Farley. Line runs right with primary drain into sump. Will trim the hose to just above water level once the tanks ready. Look good in your opinion?
