I've been shorted and demand to be compensated! (I'm just kidding of course.:D) Just wanted to let you know that the dimensions for the K7 v3 light as called out on the website seemed to have been garbled in translation. Websites call the K7 v3's as being 9.34" long X 4.72" X 1.18", when in fact they are approximately 8.25" long (8.28" to be more exact) X 5" X 1.18". Aren't us engineers a bunch of pain in the patooty sticklers?;)

You see it as you were shorted, I see it as you got a upgraded compact version. Those should have cost you more. If you want to send me the amount that you underpaid by I will make sure they get it.

I also feel like I have to leave a disclaimer that I am joking so people don’t ask if there is a newer compact version. There isn’t as far as I know, although it does make me kinda wonder, maybe I need to get come calipers out to see if mine are the same size as yours. They did just change the power supply so maybe the dimensions changed slightly (I doubt it though).

I would have never noticed except I was drawing it up in SketchUp to add to my model and it just didn't look right using their dimensions. :thinking-face: Once I finish I can add it to my build thread and have another bonus entry to hopefully win another!:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

@noopsyche I want to upgrade my 31in x 18in x 16in tank from 1x K7 V3 to 2x.
How do you recommend placing them? A few inches apart? Long side with the long side of the tank? Or short side oriented with the short side of the tank?
What mounting height?
Thanks!

Hi there,
I recommend the Light's Long side with the short side of tank. install 10-12 inches height.

Just got mine today. Nice light, but the noise of the fan is terrible. Especially because it starts running after some time, cools the light down, fan goes off, temp rises again -> fan starts running and so on...

Anyone has a silent one? Or any chance to chance the fan to a silent model? Its a radial fan, so no chance to use standard computer fans.

My fans are fairly quiet. I run two of the 140s and a 75 plus one of the Pro II 90s.

Mine are also quiet. I'm running (4) k7 v3. Barely hear them even when standing next to them.

What is the difference between the following options?

K7 Pro III App WiFi version of V3

Sale price$193.00Regular price$298.00
SALE

or

K7 PRO III V3 140W APP wifi control

Sale price$195.00Regular price$279.00
SALE

They are priced $2 differently ($195 vs $193).
But both appear to be the same thing?? Is there a difference?

Where do you see the two separate models, when I go to their website I only see one and the bundle that includes the mounting hardware.

when I go to the following "products" page, both lights are listed. $2 difference in price. Or the full set for $209.

Products

Asking because I already have a few of the arms. I only need the light and the X-adapter.
