I'm ceiling mounting just 1 K7 V3 over a 31x18x16 inch tank (40 breeder minus the space of the fiji cube drop in all in one insert). What height above the water line should I mount it at? I have a bridge aquascape and I plan to have lps and sps.

It Can be installed higher. just don't let the lightline Irradiate beyond the length(31“) of tank
Unless your lampshade can block exceeded light.

I used eyelet bolts plus drywall anchors for the ceiling, metal rope metal rope crimpes, and m3 eyelet screws. I leveled it further after these photos.
Please advise is this is ok.

It's ok. Don't let it fall down in the water :)

Is running all channels 100% for several hours harmful/damaging? I can’t figure out how to get my remote to change the settings on my light. The settings only change on the remote.
It is not recommended to adjust to 100% at the beginning. Usually slowly adjust until your coral adapts and active.

Hi Noopsyche, I got my lights tested. 1 x K7 V3 @ LPS mode over a 31x18x16 tank provides 170 par on top and 60-120 par on the sand bed. Set to LPS/SPS the sand bed is 100-175 par and the top is 300-400 par. Glass lid reduces par by 40-80. I see no need for 2x K7 V3 over my tank.
15‘’ H from the waterface. Did you put a glass lid on the tank? I can't see the glass cover in your picture.

Maybe The highest % you set is 80%

Par won't be the issue, the K7's are plenty powerful, it will be shading/shadows. One light is probably OK for now, but down the road you will probably want to add another one. I ended up going with (2) lights over my 40B, as one just didn't provide enough coverage end to end without shadows being an issue. My SPS would lose color on the sides that were shaded. Top down, things looked great. But looking at the corals from the sides, and you could see them losing color in the shadows. So I added a 2nd light, and then a LED bar too, for even more coverage and shadow elimination.

Now I have (2) lights and a LED bar over my 40B, and will probably add a 2nd LED bar in the not to distant future. Just trying to figure out a new 80/20 mount for it all.
