This is my first time to buy a carpet anemone from online. More nervous was that the store only didn't post any picture for the anemone. There was only genuine description and an irresistable 50% off discount...So I pulled the trigger, and finally received the delivery. To be honest I was looking at return policy for receiving a dead/near dead anemone before I opened the delivery. Then I opened the box and the anemone was in a bag with no water. Is this a normal practice for anemone transportation?

Anyway after acclimation process, the carpet anemone was put in display tank. Initially it shrinked in size of tennis ball. Then it settled its foot in about 2 hours. On the next morning, it buffed a lot and looked like a healthy one. Lucky!

Normal, they are often shipped "dry". To my knowledge, its so that the water doesnt get fouled up.

This is a good looking anemone. Colorwise, it'll be a sage or dark green once it settles in. Neon green ones will glow under blue light.

It looks like it is in good health. I agree with @D-Nak, it does not look like a neon green.
Your anemone looks more like the darker green rather than the lighter green, which normally call neon green.

Recorded an update for the anemone. Look like in good health?

Anemone is gorgeous, and so is the clown. I can't think of anything in reefing that I enjoy more than watching a clown in an anemone.

Thanks for your beautiful picture! It clearly shows two distinctly different colour tone.
Though now I know I am fooled by the picture that the store posted online, I love this anemone. Just feel I cant predict what my children will look like before they actually come, and I still love them whatever they are

You are right! Clown and anemone are always the focus in my tank. I can have a tea, sit and watch them all the night. Feel relaxed after work.

if you got it from aquasd you have to look out for the "ALMOST wysiwyg" label on top of the picture. I just got my carpets from them a few days ago

What does that mean? ALMOST? Either it is or it isn't WYSIWYG, right? :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
I mean your not wrong haha
Its like if we post a photo of a birdsnest or a green star polyp ect. We are going to give you the same item and the same sizing however it may not be the same shape.

Also we do receive anemones in practically dry. About 2 - 3 per bag (depending on type of course) and they are in 10-20% water and 80-90% air.

We have tried to ship them the same way but customer reactions and opinions on how they are sent are never positive and we have opted to ship with larger volumes of water.
