This looks beautiful. I kind of want to hear about the trials and tribulations associated with getting it going… what problems did you have and how did you solve?

I have fallen way behind with my posts so I thought I would post a new picture. Added new fish and am have started to turn the corner with the algae. I hope to post more in the near future as MN weather sets in.

Looking fantastic!
Thinking about ordering one myself. Any regrets with yours? I'm planning to order the package with tank, stand, and sump. Any reason you didn't get the IM sump?

Hi Moomee,

No regrets at all. I would purchase the exact tank again today as I am very impressed with the quality of the tank and stand. I dont think the IM sump was an option when I purchased (November 2021) and I already had a sump I was going to use.

Thanks for the feedback. Your build is looking great so far and I'm looking forward to seeing the progression!

Added some new fish and making some plans to address my issues with sump and crows nest of cords. Will post more details soon on all the changes.

Hello everyone. I am starting a tank build thread for my NUVO EXT 200 Gallon Peninsula Innovative Marine. I will try my best to keep the build thread organized and updated with progress/photos. My hope is this thread will be helpful and entertaining.

I wanted to say thanks to a fellow R2R member Sean Clark who has a great build thread for the same tank and has been very helpful to me with specific questions.

With that said, lets get this build started.

Tank and Equipment List Most of my equipment was acquired from other reefers in Minnesota and was used on my previous 120 gallon fat boy mixed reef. I want this tank to have a very clean look which will be a challenge for me as I struggle to adhere to the KISS method or get intimidated (or lazy) with the final details.

Tank & Stand : Innovative Marine 200EXT Peninsula w/APS Stand - White
Sump: Trigger Systems Triton 44 V2 Sump
Lights: 2x Gen4 XR30Pros
Flow: 2x MP60's (I have 3x MP40's and a Neptune WAV pump that I may utilize).
Returns: WaveLine DC6000 - Run External & VarioS-6 Run Internal
Filter Socks
Reef Octopus POV DC2 Space Saver Protein Skimmer
Kessil H380
Versa Dosing Pump
2 BRS Dosing Pumps
Apex EL Controller & EB8 Energy Bar
Apex Trident
Apex DOS (AWC)
2x Finnex 300 Watt Heater
Tunze 3155 ATO

I am sure I am forgetting something but that should cover it.

My "Planned" Next post: Tank Moves, out with the old and in with the new... both very heavy.
