Hi All,

My Set Up:
*Aquaone MiniReef 160 and sump
*2x AI Prime 16hd lights
*Refugium with Tunzee light and Chaeto
*Tunzee Comline skimmer
*Fluval sea SP2 return pump
*Jebao SW-4 wave maker
*AutoAqua Smart ATO lite G2

Stock list:
2x Clownfish
3x Blue green chromis
1x Lawnmower Blenny
CUC (snails)

Photos of my current tank. No corals added yet only fish. Planning to complete most of my fish stock list first then add corals to give my tank more time to mature.

Any thoughts, suggestions and advice is always welcome as I’m keen to gain experience!

Thanks

That's a fine looking system you have started here! I like the way you've positioned your rock. It looks very natural, which, in my opinion, is what to go for!

I can't make specific suggestions for stocking, but, I would suggest staying with smaller species so you can enjoy more movement from many small fish as opposed to a large one in a tank that size.

And in Sidney, I would imagine that you have a lot of access to tide pools and such where you an collect and enjoy local wildlife in your tank. Just be careful not to collect anything aggressive that will destroy your tank.

Thanks for the kind words Dom. Yeah I like the old school rock wall look to be honest with you, it’s how the reefs look here in my opinion.

Yes going for smaller fish is a smarter idea, I agree :) thank you for the tips!

Looks great! One thing though you’ll be glad you did. ( if you do it) It appears from the photos that your rock work goes right up to the glass on both the left and right sides of your tank. Cleaning the glass whether by hand or magnetic cleaner will prove to be impossible unless you scooch the rocks away from the glass. Maybe an inch or 2. Congrats though. Nice setup!

Thank you! Right hand side isn’t too bad, left hand side I definitely see your point, total oversight and beginner mistake hahaha!! Thanks for the tip :)
