The pipe organ still doing ok. I do see the filefish nip at it periodically but doesn't seem to be enough or doing much damage so far.

Are you posting the same photos every week or are you actually harvesting all this algae every time?

This is sooooo satisfying. I would be so joyful knowing I removed all those nutrients every time.

Do you dose iron?

lol yeah it's crazy how fast it grows.

I do dose iron and make it myself.

You can get both main ingredients off Amazon and mix together with this ratio in distilled or ro/di water

Oh, and I don't know exactly how much is dosed but this is the programming I have set for a BRS 1.1ml/m peristaltic pump but it seems to dose more than 1.1ml/m

Fallback OFF
OSC 000:00/000:06/059:54 Then ON
If Time 17:00 to 15:59 Then OFF

So about 6 seconds per day.

I have 3 of those pumps for my 3 part system. I’ve checked, and two of them is 2.1mL/min and one of them is 2.2mL/min.

Is that a Ruby Red Fin (Cirrhilabrus rubripinnis)?

I love the wrasse collection. My favorite is the carpenter flasher wrasse

You're probably seeing the blue throat Cirrhilabrus cyanogularis ?

I haven't been able to get a good picture of it. Constantly darting in and out. Gets a nice blue throat and has some bluish marks on top. Nice orangish under the red turning to the white belly. I kind of got a shot of that orange as it was turning back to dart into the caves.

You have a blue throat?! I love Blue Throat Wrasses! Are they as aggressive as people say they are?

So far just territorial and mainly against the carpenters. Seems to leave the Melanurus and Pintail alone. He just chases the Carpenters away from "his" cave. Then stops and goes back.

Turbo time. Looks like it has a different type of algae in the mix right now.

Flatter with a nice light green color to the strands. Kinda reminds me of ulva.

Some escaped into the sump. I usually just leave it to be eaten by whatever is living in the sump

Just got back from a mini vacation. Looked around for the usual chaos that usually happens. Only thing I see wrong is my torch is missing. Something dragged it off (urchin) or knocked it off then dragged it off somewhere (fish/urchin). No matter what when something goes missing I blame my urchin.

It is also WSR cleaning time. This thing was THICK and heavy. I need to figure out something better then those little push pins.

I need to clean that pipe and top of screen out more often. I noticed flow wasn't right and it was clogged with pods, crud, and bristle worms. I'd clean it out every time like I do the Turbo if those little pins weren't such a pain.

I also noticed a few types of algae growing on this screen now too. Including that thin flat lighter green type.

I started getting GHA spots, but I REFUSED to buy an urchin. Most of my acros are recently glued frags, and I know an urchin would detach them all.

Instead I bought a sea hare (I freaking love slugs btw).

Once my acros base out, I’ll get some urchins if I still need them.

Also, HOLY MOLY!! This is the most satisfying WSR cleaning yet! What does WSR stand for again?
