Does anyone have experiences with a JAPANESE BUBBLE TIP ANEMONE?

Are they hardy?
Guess they can move around just like the RBTA?

Thanks for any input

Michael

"Japanese" is usually just a marketing gimmick to command an inflated price, so I wouldn't put too much stock in that claim. That being said, GBTAs are pretty hardy nems, but can be found significantly cheaper from some of the sponsors than from this seller. I'd do some googling on reviews for that site.... Just my .02

It depends on the source you get it from. My local LFS is Aquaworld who is a sponsor, and has some nice japanese nems, and he proved in his thread that they were actually from japan. The importing law from japan does not cover anemones

I stand corrected, thanks for the link. And here I thought the CITES permits applied to all livestock from Japan. However, I'd still be weary of the seller, just because of their reputation for doctoring pics, mislabeling pieces, and let's not forget the infamous "rare spotted favia." LOL

I agree with you. This "seller" is a hit or miss thing. I only ordered twice from them. One time was a hit and the other time a miss....

I guess my reply was a little confusing... To clarify:
The "hit or miss" seller I was mentioning is NOT the store (AquaWorldPSC) you are talking about. I know they have great stuff and I would order from the anytime.

Sorry for the confusion I might have coused

I got one for a good price, but mine has gone into hiding for the last week. I have heard green nems do not require as much light and will hide a lot. Kind of scary as I do not know when and where he will emerge.
