Just curious if this was anything to worry about on my Cowfish. It’s like a discolored spot on his tail. He is already in quarantine. I just would like to know what to treat with. He eats really good and will even take food from my fingers.

Looks like ich imo. Are you running any medicines or hyposalinity?

Getting old sucks. Beats the alternative though

The spots on the fins look like ich to me. I would ask the #fishmedics for an opinion on best potential treatment

The area of concern appears to be a fin ray issue which often corrects itself but there is also ich present which this type of fish is susceptible to.
Is fish still eating? If not, often a sign of progression on this type of fish. Raised scales also a sign of stress and even disease on cowfish. Can also be flukes which cowfish often get but certain symptoms will help distinguish such as rapid breathing, loss of appetite, loss of activity and dots on eyes or cloudy eyes. Since fish is in quarantine, best would be General Cure treatment which also has a small content of Praziquantel also along with added aeration with use of air stone

Looks like ich to me. You'll need to treat this ASAP. You have two good options; coppersafe or hyposalinity. Since it is a cowfish, I'd opt for the hypo:
