I was looking at one of my blue hippo tangs today and saw 2 white bumps along his top fin…is this ich? I’ve caught him pretty close to my anemone a couple times so could it be stings? Or maybe sores from rubbing and sleeping in the rocks?

May be mucus cones which this fish is susceptible to and associated with skin irritation or mixed in with ich. Need a clearer pic and under white light intensity. You may have to resort to treating in a separate tank using coppersafe for at least 28-30 days. Often other tankmates will show no signs but do keep an eye on them moving forward.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Too large to be ich, but as said, we need clearer photos, taken under white lights. Also, some history of the fish and the tank is helpful.
