I have a feeling it is. If so, is it desirable? My sump has some large pink coralline growing next to these green splotches. The Display only has a little pink on some plastic and seams. Is there a reason why the sump has considerably more than the DT? Sump is acrylic with a white fuge light.

Check your magnesium. Odds are that it is on the lower end and that is why your coralline is pale or green.
Question, I have a newer tank, 2 months old. Rocks are Marco rock started in early July in a earlier first tank. I have pink and purple coralline growing on rocks, glass and power heads. The power heads also have what looks like his picture. My mag is at 1300ppm. Sould I slowly increase and if so to what ppm? Thanks for the help

I would ask what salt you are using, what test kit you are testing with, and where the green coralline is growing. You mentioned that it was growing on the powerheads but where? Underside green topside purple?
1300 is solid I would still check it though to verify.

Reef crystal, Salifert test kit. The power heads have all Three growing on the tops mostly the inlet vents

Mag is currently 1435. I keep it 1400-1450. Testing with trident
That is a good level if it is accurate. Is it stable? Research trident stability or trident consistency. Perhaps tests with another method.

I keep it pretty stable. I manually dose mag by hand about every 3 or 4 days to bump it up to 1450. I try not to let it get below 1430ish. The trident has been working accurately. I calibrate after reagent change and do a reference check with salifert once a week. I have very little purple in the DT. Some purple in the sump. But recently quite an explosion of green in the sump.
