How do I tell a trachy from a wellso? I’m bad at coral ID obviously :D

If I remember correctly, trachyphyllia was the old classification, which was changed to Wellsophyllia a few years ago. I think they have now become one in the same.

Will it ever obtain the convoluted shape you often see for them? I’ve never had one before :)

It looks a little rough...keep it stable and under normal reef parameters and it should recover and get more puffy. Feeding it can't hurt either.

I have it sitting on the sandbed with low flow. That should be good right? Tried to feed it again today and it kinda opened its mouth and ate, but still didn’t extend tentacles.

Thanks guys! It’s amazing what a few weeks can do. Nothing amazing, just some water changes, and an occasional feeding :D
