Hi, I’ve been looking for a light for some time now, and I think I found one. My tank is an all in one 18x18x14in, and I’m mostly looking for softies and lps
This light looks pretty good but just wanted to check. I’m also open to any other suggestions, thanks!

I have the mini. The app isn’t as user friendly as some others but as far as what they will grow and how much par you can achieve, they are solid lights.

This seems good, especially since it’s on close out. Just to make sure, can you control the brightness of the light, 130 is just a bit much for my tank, and what I want.

You can control the brightness on them, I had some a while back.

ETA: You have to have another device to control them with the app though.

Yeah, I was reading some reviews on it, and the only issue really seems to be the connectivity issues with the app. Besides that it seems good. Also, it doesn’t seem to show the cone of lighting, so just curious if it seems will work with my 18x18x14, or should I buy the mini, or more than one?

Also, a tank that size with just soft coral and LPS can get by with an AI prime I would think.

Isn't the AI prime more money than the noop? If the OP wanted to grow acros, would this AI prime work well? I have used the noop on my acros and it did a fantastic job

as stated by someone already for ADVANCED control, you will need the ICV6. For basic stuff, you use the on board controls....here is the manual in case you are thinking about this light as an option.

Keep in mind, this light will help you expand into future corals...(meaning more PAR demanding)...
GL what you decide....

No clue what the OPs budget is, my girlfriend has SPS under a prime and it's growing fine. I don't have one myself though.

Switching between Spectrum and Photo-Period Mode:The Ethereal LED Lighting System has two modes of operations: Spectrum and Photo-PeriodMode. User can switch between the two modes with the control dial on the fixture.Press and hold the control dial for 2 seconds (but less than 5 seconds) to switch to anothermode.Spectrum Mode:Under Spectrum Mode, the fixture will simply leave the intensity of the 5 LED channels at thelast saved setting. To adjust the intensity, press the control dial once to enter Setup Mode (the RGB Mood Lightwill start to blink). Rotate the control dial to adjust the intensity. Press the control dial again toswitch to the next channel, until all 5 channels have been set. Press the control dial one moretime to exit Setup Mode (the RGB Mood Light will stop blinking).Photo-Period Mode:Under Photo-Period Mode, the fixture will run the last saved Photo-Period profile

The Prime would be in my budget, but I’m not really looking into sps, so would it be worth the extra money?

That's up to you I guess. It's a solid light and the app is solid as well. They are available used often for around $150 or less usually

Noop has more power than you need. The light spill is awful because of the globe fixtures but yes it will grow it all. I have one with a diffuser shade to help with the spill.

I have heard good things about smatfarm and nicrew but if you have the budget get an AI or Kessil.

After some research, I think I’m liking the AI prime best, so I’ll get one of those. But, I was looking on bulk reed supply to buy one, and it said that the light arms are commonly bought together. Does the AI prime only come with the body of the light?

Yes, the arm is sold separately.
