Hey y’all I’ve been looking around and most of the info I can find says this is a common sponge but I just want confirmation in my specific case. This has been growing in my pistol shrimps cave tunnels for about 2 months now and I just noticed how deep it actually goes in there. Just for safety of my pistol shrimp can y’all help me ID this. It’s on the roof of the tunnel.

If the sponge has been there that long without issue, then it's not likely to be a problem going forward. (I would guess that at worst, the shrimp may just end up needing you to clear out the tunnel or it may need to build a new tunnel - but that's only if the sponge grows excessively and the shrimp doesn't adjust the tunnel or sponge to compensate.)
