I feed mine like crazy in my 210 and in the first 2 years it went from 2”-6” and hasn’t gotten any bigger or just slightly bigger in the last 3 years. @Tamberav might be right with the sex hypothesis.
Interesting, from what Ive read there isnt a way for us to visually sex them though right?

I have a 75-gallon saltwater fish tank now for a year and have learnt the hard way some fish don't get along- I think it is because some of the fish aren't named correctly and some people in the stores don't know who gets along with who? I try to buy fish in 3s, if it cost more than $59.00 (buy one).
Right now my tank has 3 dominos -2 blue damsels -1 puffer -2 clowns (Nemo) - 2 Dories - 2 skunk Clowns-1 yellow tang -1 blue beauty - 2 small yellow pajamas -1 red hawk - 1 blue stripped fish & 1 huge Hermit crab.

I had to replace his shell many times already... he has eaten or killed - 2 starfish - 6-9 snails (all types) - clam - 2 small yellow pajamas and the other blue stripped fish ...I moved my anemone and corals to a separate tank because he is a beast. My puffer wasn't the one that went after the fish it was the hermit. I also had a goby that I didn't know can jump - so he committed suicide and jumped out of the back of the tank --now I have a full glass topper.

What is a good healthy ratio of fish per tank?

You are way over stocked with 3 tangs in a 75 gallon and your yellow tang is a mimic tang not a yellow and the hippos will outgrow a 75 quickly.

Take the two blue tangs (what you call Dory) and the “yellow” tang (called a chocolate tang) out and your tank would be fine. Those 3 fish shouldnt be in a 75 gallon. Best to research minimum tank sizes, especially tangs who really should have a six foot tank for swimming.

Hey there reefers

After many trials and tribulations I’ve ended up with in my tank

1 yellow tang (3.5-4”)
1 tomini orange fin tang (2.5-3”)
1 sailfin (2.5-3”)
1 possum wrasse
1 pintail wrasse
1 flame hawk
1 starry blenny
1 yellow watchman goby +pistol shrimp pair
1 magnificent foxface (3-4”)
2 clown fish
Loads of urchins hermits and snails

Tank is a 4ft 150g with plenty of rockwork and hiding places.

Tank boss is my yellow and the new tangs and foxface are new arrivals currently in the tank but sectioned off about 20% of the tank for their safety in the first few days for aggression concerns; although the new fish seem to be able to cross over to the yellow tangs side freely back and forth and the yellow tang mainly bullies the foxface which I’m a bit concerned with but it’s been relatively peaceful all things considered. Only added the new fish due to low to no phosphate and slim nitrates on average.

Is the tank overstocked? Perhaps long term I may have to upgrade or say goodbye to the sailfin?

8 alk
1550 mag
450 calcium
.1 phosphate (dosing to this on average once a week with brightwell neo phos and checking with the Hanna ulr phosphate checker)
7.8 ph roughly during light cycle

Thanks in advance
I certainly wouldn't add anything else.
