Is my PH to high?

For some reason my PH stays around 8.4. Is this to high for a FOWLR tank?

I think it should be fine but I wonder why its that high... What brand of salt are you using? Also, Have you done an alk test?

should be fine, I run mine at 8.3 but I agree I would try yo figure out what is causing it to go up. check a few hours after the lights go out to see what it drops to.

I use Instant Ocean brand salt.

I dont see a big problem with it being at 8.4 what time of the day did you check it at?

You'll get a more accurate idea if you test it right before lights come on and right before lights go off.

are you using ro water or tap water?
