Hi all just wanted some advise/re assurance my nem was healthy last night but this morning I woke up two a huge hole in the middle and it's still like this 4 hours later anyone have any opinion

If it is splitting how long does this take and do I need to do anything?

Yeh I know he's enjoying it there for some reason had him about 3 weeks now he made his way around the tank and chose to be there suppose the flow and lighting is good there

See by the picture he gets two forms of flow being here

What's with all these nems splitting on the glass?? I've kept nems for many years and every time they split they will hide in the rockwork for a day and then re-emerge as 2 or 3 new anemones. I always believed they wanted to protect themselves deep in the rockwork because they are vulnerable while splitting.

What kind of lights are you guys running?

Hate to say it but that light isn't very powerful. Your nem is climbing up high close to the light because it isn't bright enough. You could probably keep some easy corals like mushrooms but nothing that needs strong lighting
My black widow is under a hydra. I have an RBTA that splits under an AI Prime HD, always a double split with that momma. She lives on the rocks and her little babies are always super well behaved :) View attachment 1756600View attachment 1756601
These lights are much better suited for nems and most corals
