Hi guys, it’s my first time keeping corals, in the past i’ve had fish only saltwater tank but i thought i’d give a try for corals. Just picked this guy up 30 min ago and do you guys have any recommendations for keeping corals? The fake anemone will be removed soon, and can you guys also recommend anything to keep fish away from picking on the coral, i have a bet in there to keep them away for now. Check out video

congrats on your first coral! Duncans are a great choice for a starter coral but they are a LPS coral (Large Polyp Stony Coral) which means that have a calcium skeleton and need the elements of alkalinity, calcium and magnesium to continue growing well. as for fish, as long as you have reef safe fish then they shouldnt pick at it. the video looks good! just leave it be and let it get settle for a few days! Happy reefing!
