Just noticed this coloration on my Gem tang

I’ve attached some pictures… any ideas if this is not a big deal?
She almost looks like she has a coat of velvet.
if she does…. Anyone have success treating it?

I tried at get as many pictures as possible

Tough to see in the photos, maybe a short video would work better?
Any other symptoms? Is it still eating? Is it breathing fast?

To me it doesn’t look like ich nor velvet. It kind of looks like the skin is opaque/sloughing off.

My diagnosis is flukes. Jay, what do you think? Maybe a bacterial infection, but those usually come secondary to parasites/fighting.

Tangs don’t really get brook.

Anyway you can get the fish out for a 5 minute freshwater dip to diagnose flukes? If not, just dose prazipro 1tsp per 20 gallons. It’s reef safe and gentle on fish. Kills flukes by causing spasms. Redose 6 days later.

You should see a big improvement 1-2 days later if it was flukes.

Don’t have any experience with flukes. It does look like it (when comparing Google pics)
She does kind of get a little aggressive with the yellow tang in there.

I will trea with the prazipro as you suggested. I only have 1 coral in the tank now. So it’s not a big deal.
