IOAOI TESTER HOB protein skimmer

I have the pleasure of working with @IOAOI and testing out there latest hob protein skimmer rated for 40-80g systems. Received today and was able to get a great video of the unboxing and simple set up super excited to get this going on the new build and see it in action. Thank you @IOAOI for the opportunity and the fast delivery of you product packaging was amazing and everything was extremely secure

Thanks for sharing the review! I know that there have been some questions so this is helpful. It does seem like an interesting design for the right purpose.

Lol... mine got lost in shipping... was supposed to get here two days ago. Not IOAOI's fault. I think they heard my skimmer was on the truck and stole it.

It is a nice sleek design and fit really well in the sump set up was easy and everything was basically done and ready to go after that 5 min. Video. I have reached out to IOAOI about possibly making a crontroller extension for people housing controllers in a cabinet 3ft and 6ft extension I am sure the more sales they get the easier it would be to get the cable in the process but not accessible as of right now not a huge issue though. Thing is a solid and cant wait for them to get you yours. Having mine and should be functional by next weekend as it is on my brand new build. As long as everything goes to plan she will be up and running soon. @Peace River it looks like a good concept and the adustable section helps a lot. It does have rubber feet if it is needing to be set on vase of sump but still suggest hanging just simply cause it does help it be more stable.

Well it took a little longer to get this up and running due to some minor setbacks. I apologize @IOAOI but with that being said i have to say this skimmer is working awesome and pulling great skimmate. Took a little while to break in but once it did it has been awesome. Super easy to tune and i would suggest 8in water level from bottom of pump to water line in sump or in tank. Total water volume is 73g i feed really heavy with it being a frag tank has a couple clowns and soon to have a diamond goby and possible flametail....few pictures and video of it doing its thing. Will continue to update every few days. Will show the next cup load as well showing all the nasties. You guys killed it with this one....
