Built these 1/2” Acrylic Bridges for a Three Panel Glass top for my 120 Gallon Aquarium. There’s a Spare as they still warp, and have to be bent back slowly.

Good idea thanks for the share

It works like this. You put new born brine shrimp in the funnel at the top over the water and they slowly try to get through the mesh as the fish eat them all day. They are all over this, and other forums just search for "Paul B" feeder.

Yooooo , COOL

I'll make one

Great any pictures of your set ups
Thanks for your input on the thread. It’s nice to see what others are doing to make things better and easier

Just treated the Lymphocystis and Cryptocaryon on the copper band in 2 days.

Is that good? Or only I think so
LOL

Top right water entrance , left bottom (the gap) water goes to the sump

Yeah lovely

I usually keep them and sell them after they start eating regularlly on a good food. (Shrimp flesh is really good, nutritious enough to keep them healthy)

Prefer not to see them killed in aquariums

I'm running a 120 gal and a 90 gal system with this Mega UPS. It has a single 24V DC supply for running off of the AC house wiring and a 50A hour Lithium battery for operation when the power goes down. The unit supplies 24VDC to all of my pumps, my 2 Hydra 32s* and my 2 Prime 16s and one skimmer. The heaters and one skimmer are directly powered by the house wiring. This unit is capable of keeping both tanks running for over 5 hours with the lights fully on. With no lights, it will run the tanks for over 11 hours. We have frequent storms and power outages and this allows me time enough to hook up the generator if needed. For long term outages I can charge the battery with the generator during the day and run on battery power at night. If anyone is interested in building a system like this I would be glad help with the design. Total cost was around $1100. If you are running only 1 system the price would be about $300 less by using a 25A hour battery. * The Hydra 32s actually run on 36V DC so there is a 24v to 36V converter running them.

It is crazy you have made all of that stuff! I would be completely lost on trying to make most of your DIY projects haha

I have both invented or maufactured many, many, things and I have to say most everyone of them works absolutely fantastic.. This is one of them, and if you dont have one you best build one of these, only because some day you will need one. Removing anything alive in a heavily stocked tank, sick fish, transfering between tanks, trading, moving aggressive live stock, protection of corals... on and on.

Dollar Store Trap,
This works like no other way I have ever seen. I made my first one some 30 plus years ago. Stepped on my last good one I had it for about 18 years. When I made one out of a pink plastic jar, they did not like the color I found out fast. So I made a new one, you to can catch any fish in no time at all. This is my total investment it is just shy of $13.24..! And that is if you don't have any of these items at all. There are two sizes of these jars for $1.24 each at the Dollar Store. I chose the smaller size as it is perfect in any tank I have, due to the tons of live rock.. tons. You CAN"T catch anything in a clean manicured well stocked tank with a net... Good luck

The way it works:
Place the jar with the magnet glued inside of it, and the foam on the top of the jar. You just lower the jar down in the tank, the open end with the foam Vertical with the sand bed. Place the other outside magnet on a string, to the jar magnet they will stick together that will hold the jar in place (one magnet inside and one magnet outside on a string). I use up to 10 foot string. Put shrimp or clam into the inside jar.. And sit in your lounge chair and wait until the fish you want goes in the jar. And then pull the outside magnet on the string hard and fast, the jar opening will tip up immediately and float straight up in one second and float up to the top of the water FAST. Your fish or shrimp can NOT GET OUT.... There is no better way I have seen to both catch and seize any fish or shrimp of your choice.... Been doing this like I said for 30+ years and it works like no other... I just keep hearing about all these people with tanks that cant catch a fish. Trying for days and days at times. In 20 mins total max time I can get anyone of them. And I have some 300 lbs of live rock and corals everywhere! :) This one came out perfect, best one I have ever made to date. Just wanted to share this to all. Happy Reefing :)

The list:
Plastic Jar $1.24
Neodymium Magnets, I use Rubber coated. (a pair) E-Bay (Out of Texas) $3.00
** You can use any type of magnet as they will be in the water for 5 mins max. Then just dry them off. They won't hurt anything at all. Just don't leave them in the ole tank as they will rust over time.
Foam Door Draft Stopper (Ace, Lowes, Home Depot) $8.00
Super Glue or heat gun (Dollar Store) $1.00
String, Braided Fishing line, Rope... lol
Razor Knife or a razor blade
One Larger Rubber band

And just 20 minutes of your time.

The foam that I used is closed cell foam and there is a picture of what and how to get it. It works perfectly and bends fantastic very little effort if any..! Bottom Picture!

Use this foam! I don't know if I could ever find anything that would come even close to working like this did... :) I will post a video of it working and catching fish and peppermints very soon..

I also manufactured many a DYI Diatom tank filter that works like no other... Old school here, the Diatom Filter in my opinion are the absolutely one of the best inventions ever for reefing... I fully believe that they are 100 times better then any UV sterilizer.. Any 1000 times faster for any removal situation what so ever.. AKA any and all Detritus full removal thus lowering Nitrates, Medications, GHA spores, Cyano, Fish Ick... without any chemicals at all. Saving you huge $$$$$. Google read about Diatom Filters and Diatomaceous Earth .. And NOT those little Marineland squirt guns either. They are fact like drinking a Coke thru 60 foot straw...lol. It just don't work you have a be moving tons of water through Diatomaceous Earth..! Ok, I will post some builds on these..

Well done! Do you have build threads for any of this stuff? I would love to replicate some of this myself.

Some of these things are described in my book, the rest are probably on my many years long thread on here someplace. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
