Hey everyone!

My name is Gabriel I live in San Francisco, and after 10 years, I am coming back to the hobby. I was always in love with saltwater tanks and I was finally able to afford one when I was 19 years old. I set it up and got a pair of baby clownfish and a frag of zoanthid. (I was able to afford the tank but not a lot more! lol) The coral died, and I was left with my 2 clownfish that are still alive but in another home, super hardy guys. I came back to the hobby because my freshwater tank was not satisfying me, so I set up a pico tank 2 months ago and so far it's going well. Currently, I am saving money to upgrade to a big red sea. XD

Hi Gabriel! LOVE San Francisco! Welcome and welcome back to hobby! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in San Francisco:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
