Hi all.
Looking at options about plumbing of my sump in my fish room. It is remote and a floor below my display tank.
Using calculators for head height ( vertical drop, elbows, runs of piping, et cetera), I have about 5 m of total Head resistance from the sump to the display tank.
I’m looking to decide on a return pump and asking myself if I want to go with a submersible in the sump, or drill a bulkhead and pipe through an external pump.
My main criteria is reliability.
I’m not too much worried about noise, because the sump will be in a remote fish room, but really want something that’s gonna be bullet-proof and last for a long time.
For submersible, I was considering Abyzz. For external, I was considering Iwaki.
if I can avoid shelling out the extra money for the Abyss, that would probably be a win.
What are your thoughts, and what factors should I take into consideration in this choice?
Thanks a lot.
