I have a five foot 90 gallon DT, and for the longest time ran two MP40's on either end. Life was good, everything was growing nicely. If December, while attending a local reef club meeting, that member had 12 powerheads in his six foot 180 (or 210). Loads of flow! Shortly after that I saw Dana Riddle's MACNA talk this past year where he talked about the importance of flow, (lighting and alkalinity.) I now thought my flow was insufficient. Would more flow help?

I purchased a couple different powerheads....Jebao and Tunze. I was extremely impressed with Jebao PP series for the controllability and price. I played with the locations of these powerheads for a bit. However, I eventually came around, back to Vortech...I really like the look (or should I say the lack of "look.") The Jebao is going into my QT tank, and the Tunze is in the sump. Here's the DT, marking the current locations of the Vortechs.....four MP40's one MP10. I still might play with moving them around:

Do you think I have enough flow? :D

Running that many pumps I'd almost consider running all mp10's. A lot more would fit into the same budget as what you already have in the picture, and it looks like you might have more places to tuck a smaller pump than the bulky mp40's.

Just some thoughts! Tank looks great as it is!!! :)
