IM 100 EXT Setup Question

I know its not the kosher way but I just finished filling my 100ext, and had a slow drop like that. I just slathered it with PVC cement (like really coated it) and it filled in the leaky gap. I know it'll prob leak again in a few months but that is later me's problem.

Thanks, That's the other option. A diy video on youtube suggested temporarily use a rubber stopper to seal one end of the pipe and pump out the air from the other end of the tube to create vacuum and then apply some primer around the leak and put is a little pvc glue. The vacuum will suck it in and seal the gap.

Is there enough room to route and screw in the plumbing with it against the wall?
My husband and I were able to. We left 6 inches behind our new tank. As I type this the tank is on its 2nd full day running. Will add salt in another day.
