Hey guys, I bought this live rock from my lfs that had been in a display tank for the past 5 years. He is redoing the tank so was able to pick the rock up.

Rock has been sitting in no light for the past couple of weeks in the store and was wondering what the pink stuff is.

if it's been sitting with no light, could be some sort of macro algae that has bleached due to lack of light. just a guess though on my part.
