So I have a reef o to SSS 3000 INT. That is 14 years old and works great butt………. Every time I stick my hand in water I get a nice electrically charged feeling.. So I bought a.IceCap K3-200 OVP In-Sump Protein Skimmer
This is on a 180 with a 40 gallon running capacity sump. Does anyone have any recommendations,suggestions,experience. With Open Volute Pump (OVP) system. ??? I’ve had it in for about 24 hours and it’s already proving to do the job. I’ve got it running low and slow because of break in but it’s already pulling up good foam and skim. But it does sound like a boat motor in my front room. Coral vue says it will subside as it breaks in.
