See if you can guess what I bought, that I didn't have before... I'll give you a hint, it is NOT anything in the tank! ;)

The EXIF is stripped out of the photo I checked, but I think it's safe to assume you got a new macro lens?

Thanks guys, sorry the exif is stripped... I thought I left it in there.

Yes, I got a 100mm Macro from Canon. B&H had a used one, 9+ for 399, so I snapped it up while I was ordering my 580ex flash, and a wireless flash trigger for my studio strobes.

Hey Jr, those gobstoppers are pretty fast growers... I have 3 polyps now!

Hey Chris, no, I had been using my 24-70 2.8L or the 70-200 with a 500D on the end. Now, I have a new toy to learn, I am VERY impressed so far, I have snapped some pictures of the kids that are just POKE YOUR EYE OUT sharp!

Nice! I thought you had one, though.

next thing i want is a set of extension tubes. do you have any? (i think the ones you were showing us at Choice, were JR's)

I'd like to see the diff they make

No, I was using my other glass for tank pics. I do have a set of tubes, and played with those on my 70-200 lens for a while.

Yes, they are! So far I really like this lens.

Great looking photos!

Thank You.

Man you gusy gte some nice shots. I get some every now and then, but I can't make them look that good... Some of that is post processing technique, right?

Thanks!

In this batch I did very little post processing at all. Basically, I did WB and set the "Black Point" where you tell the image what is black, and what is white to your eye. Once you do this, then the image should match very closely what you see in your tank.

Is the 'Black Point' in PS? I usually do an Auto level adjustment and may tone it down a little, but wasn;t sure exactly what all other functios could be used for. I need to find a PS for dummies or something.

Yup, you select "levels" then click on the black eye dropper, then click on something that is black in the image. Do the same for white...

Thanks Scopus Tang.
