No no that’s not what I meant, what I’m trying to say is that reef primer is the coral dip that most people use here when corals are sick because it is not at strong as the other ones, kind of like iodine, which isn’t very strong. Can the iodine found in pharmacies be used to dip corals? If so which type?
thats an incorrect use. reef primer will do nothing to help with the health of corals unless they are being attacked by parasites. its not supposed to be used when they are sick. its only use is when getting in new corals to dip for pests.

Iodine IS for use when things are sick or possibly have a cut or tear as it will actually clean the effected tissue, hence, Antiseptic.

Lugols is typically the type of iodine used. heres a link for it from Amazon India (since i see you are there). Lugols Iodine Amazon India

I see then I’ll not do what they do. And thank you so much for the link! But I’m from Bangladesh which is beside India. I’ll look for this type of iodine here then! I consider myself kind of lucky because in India you can’t keep corals which is kinda sad :(

Hey guys, so I was changing some of the rocks in my tank and I picked up three medium sized rocks from the sand to move it to the sump. That’s when one of the rocks slipped from my fingers and fell directly on my blasto before rolling off. It fell from a high of 18 inches or so, I’ll send pictures of the rock and also the blasto (before and after). Please let me know if it will be ok for not and what I can do to help. The place where the rock fell is kind of like a bald spot and it gets covered by the polyps in the morning. This incident occurred yesterday at night and I left it to see what it looks like today once opened up. I’ll send pictures when it fully opens today.

Rock that fell on the blasto:

If it makes you feel any better I banged a rock into my zoa garden and wiped out a frag with a $45/polyp zoa. I was so mad at myself.
