Really not a whole lot to share here. I am just -loving- having a tank.
It's crazy young, relatively small, poorly budgeted, and probably about to crash at any moment, but I love it.
I've got my lights set so I can wake up and see the tank going to sleep, then get home from work and watch it wake up and get into full swing. Everyday there is something new to see, and my tank still feels pretty empty even though I've probably stocked too much too early. I've got three new growth polyps of zoas. Clove polyps that are making a comeback after being ticked off by algae. A big new shoot off of a finger leather, and some mushrooms that I swear are twice the size as when I got them.
I came home from work this morning and found a bunch of new mysterious burrows dug into my sand. Turned out to be the newly added Blackcap Basslet. Hadn't seen her since adding to the tank a few days ago, but the burrows were a good sign. Then it came out and ate a massive amount of gut-loaded brine with everyone for breakfast - proof of life!
When I get frustrated with a gnarly algae bloom or my favorite coral dies hopefully someone can point me back to this thread.
What are you excited about in your reef today?
