With the heavy lifting done, it was time to focus on getting the tank ready for the transition. The plan was to get new sand in, add a bit of rock, get the tank seeded, and the let it sit for a couple of weeks or so before transferring everything over. First thing I did was replace the center two return nozzles with RFGs. The other 4 RFGs would be transferred from the 80. At this point I also mounted a Jebao scp-90 on the left side. After that I added a 30lb bag of Tropic Eden Tonga pink sand. Next was building a small structure using Tropic Eden Morroco rock, superglue gel, and and epoxy stick. Once the structure was completed I put it randomly in the middle and began filling the tank with RO. It took a couple of days to get the tank filled. The moment of truth! I cut the pumps and heater on, let the tank get to temp, and added salt (RS blue bucket). Once I got the salinity where it needed to be I added a scoop of sand from the 80, a couple of marine pure spheres from the 80, and a bottle of Brightwell MicroBacter Start XLM. She was alive and now that wait began!
