So I recently removed my Kalk stirrer from under the sump and switched to just regular dripping saturated Kalk. The stirrer worked out perfectly fine, but with my vision and health I just got real sick of getting down on the ground, hitting my head and eyes on the sump door poppers, spilling and breathing Kalk dust every 5-7 days. Bright idea was to drip saturated Kalk out of my 25 gallon automated rodi storage that I could fill standing up and not worry about breathing Kalk dust. With that, and trying to be thrifty (no offense Avast, love you guys) I ordered a 50lb sack of vitacal h. So, I just got a delivery which I figured was dogfood, brought it into the house and opened in the kitchen. Good thing I’m a bachelor! I’m pretty sure I looked like Tony Montana (face covered in coke) and probably have a light dusting everywhere. I’ve been sneezing and blowing my nose for ten minutes….quick rinse and some Flonase and back to normal. Well, for a short time anyway. Then I had another bright idea to transfer the contents to old salt buckets. Since I already had a mess, and now that the bag was sliced open and box opened, there was no way for me in my condition to get this hot mess outside to handle. First thing I found out is that 50lbs of Kalk does not fit in an old 55lb salt bucket….not even close. Second thing I found out (well I find out every day, sometimes multiple times) is that I’m not the brightest lightbulb. Anyway, it’s all squared away and cleanish. I’m thinking I need another vittles vault dog food storage container, or small brute with a somewhat sealing lid out in the garage for the next round. Hopefully I’ll be dead by then and I won’t have to worry about it!

LOL! And I actually laughed out loud! Scarface is one of my favorite flicks and I was envisioning the sight! All you needed to finish it off was a shotgun and a crazed look on your face!

Oh, I bet! Reminds me of how I introduced myself to the neighbors when I moved here 20 years back. I was exploring what I had for a shed. Found a nest of yellow jackets. And they found me. I ran out into the cul-de-sac yelling F-bombs for ALL to hear. And yes, there were kids about. I stopped when I saw them. Too late! Those things 'rockered' me. Bite/Sting, Bite/Sting, Bite/Sting. Wow that hurt!
