i Have a single maroon clownfish in a 20g high. Two people told me it’s too small, but only two. Were They right? Should I upgrade? will my fish die if I don’t? I want the best life For my maroon so I’ll do it if I have to

Youre fine and after 38+ years, never seen one larger in captivity at 3-5"

It always makes me chuckle. People saying a tang is too small for someone's 40g but their 150g with 5 tangs in it is just soooo much closer to the size of the Pacific Ocean. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:
Oh boy, "them there is darn near fightin' words Leroy"

So true!

You should be fine. Watvh the growth and upgrade or rehome when its time. The same people that would complain about a 2 inch tang in a 40 till it grows out, are the same ones who have an 8 inch tang in a 90 gallon. They dont gollow theit own criteria. Maroons do get large and aggressive so eventually they may/will need a larger tank. So as others said it will take time.

Apex police are probably frustrated because of all the money they spent and have to continuously fiddle with crap to make it work like they want it too. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
Exactly. It's "the best" and looks "super clean" (Has 18,000 comment threads on this forum asking why something Apex related isn't working correctly, or to gripe about the products). If there was an affordable Apex alternative, people would be all over that instead. I miss my reefkeeper. RIP after nearly a decade of flawless service.

They are a bit dickish in nature, might be difficult finding a compatible tank mate

There is a clown police?! I've been on the Tang police most wanted list for years...
Post a thread with a 5.5 gallon Petco Aqueon, and just watch how fast they show up.

If any @ all. Maybe a luckily sexed maroon that will submit immediately, otherwise
all other bets are off!
