Hydroids?

So these things cropped up a few weeks ago. They don’t seem to be bothering anything, but was curious if they are hydroids? I only see them in two limited areas of the tank.

If so - are these a “must remove” or OK to leave alone?

Yeah, those are hydroids - it depends on the species, some are invasive and/or pack a strong sting; others seem to be harmless.
Hmm.

Reading up it looks like removal is challenging. Gonna cut back on rotifer feeding and see if that has any impact. Other than that I guess fingers crossed they’re not one of the more invasive and troublesome types.
