Hi all.
I have a new tank with a supplied sump that I want to modify. The modification is to remove a glass partition that is siliconed into the sump.

What is the easiest and safest way to cut through the silicon and remove the partition.

I would just carefully cut each side of the silicone with a razor blade. Once that is done, you can carefully work it back and forth finding areas the silicone is still attached to the tank glass and carefully cut those. It'll come out in no time.
