How to get rid of this algae?

over the past few months these small tufts of algae have started to form on my reef rock. I have read that they can easily be removed by just pulling them off, but these are stuck on there pretty good and don't just pull off the rock. What is the best way to remove this type of algae? Is there a solution out there that I can add to the tank to remove it? Appreciate your help!

Is it possible to get a picture with the algae in focus?

Is it green, wiry and tangled with bubbles on the ends?
Is it smooth and straight, like grass?
Is it growing like grass but with fronds or splits on the ends?

(If it's the latter, don't try to scrub it out....)
