I have a lot of bristleworms that were out all the time (day & night). I recently got a flame hawk a few days ago and haven't seen my bristleworms wander around like they used to. I believe the hawk's either been eating them or at the very least scaring them in to hiding.
I have two flame hawks and I’m hoping they are eating some (I haven’t looked since I posted this thread) I do see the hawks wandering around at night sometimes so I’m thinking their eating a few

You will never get rid of them, They are a crucial part of owning a marine tank. You can limit their population with pest hunters(certain wrasses, arrow crab, etc, etc), but they will always be in your tank regardless.
I will be adding 2 halichoeres wrasses soon and I’m hoping that they will pick away at some

I know my melanurus eats them because occasionally he gets what I like to call “kardashian lips”. Dunno if they sting him as he is eating but his lips will be swollen for a day or two like he has had injections! I also have a yellow coris and an orchid dottyback. I never see bristle worms out and about unless I move a frag tile on the sand.

They are beneficial in my experience. I literally have 2 thousand in this tank and my corals thrive! Leave em be!
