For fish I know it’s usually suggested to just float and then plop in (when shipped overnight) for PH/Ammonia issues when the water is exposed to air so dripping isn’t recommended.

what about anemones? I just got a long tip anemone and I’m not sure if I should float, then drip? Just float? I know they’re more sensitive but never bought an anemone online so not sure how to proceed. Thanks!

Long tentacle anemone? Just plop and drop. Meaning temp acclimate and then it can be introduced into the tank. Anemones osmoregulate on their own, so it will control its own salinity acclimation. Giving it a ciprofloxacin bath is never a bad idea either.

got it from blue zoo and also came with Seachem stress guard. They just have a general “invert” section but they assume they aren’t shipping wet and just damp. They did give me a Seachem stress guard vial though

Never used stress guard personally, but temp acclimate and then you can put it in the tank. Be wary of powerheads.

Also, I bought a Purple Long Tentacle but this looks green? Do they color up differently when stressed or is this clearly not a purple? The purple ones I have seen are pretty vibrant. Anyone else have a “purple” one that isn’t really purple?

even under tank lights it’s green
