No need to dose it man.... Do a little research the first rule is a hefty skimmer which I highly doubt you have..... I don't think you could even get a low enough dose for that man a drop would be to much IMHO...:(

You can put a drop in a little bit of ro water, then for example, a quarter of that water equals a quarter drop and so on.

In a tank that small a daily water change would be easier, more reliable, and much more effective. If you want to know about carbon dosing, I'd read articles written by Murray Camp. He has it down.

+1

If you wanted to try, look into Brightwell Aquatice Reef Bio Fuel. Does the EXACT same thing as vodka, but it is made for reef tanks and isn't quite as terrible if dosing goes wrong.

I use Bio Fuel, very easy to use;directions are on the bottel.

Vodka dosin isnt neccessary in a system that small. Your tank is still cycling, so algae is normal. It should go away in a few months on its own.

Ok, thanks.

And yeah, I'm suffering from algae problem right now. It looks like a piece of poop exploded all over my tank, haha. I stopped using tap water for my tank after I realized it had so much nitrate in it.

Those are called diatoms, they will be gone in a couple weeks. Then comes the hair algae and pods.
